Probably like most people I started using FrontPage as my first WYSIWYG HTML editor and even bought a large text book about how to use it.

I soon realised that if you make any changes to your code outside FP, it mangles your code and adds a whole load of HTML tags.

There are far better tools out there, but the dominant position of Microsoft will ensure that many people will also start with this dreadful editor.
