Well, after a few hrs of dinking around with Xaraya & hanging out in the Support chat and talking ot some of the dev team, it's looking like Xaraya could come out as a top notch CMS. Still got some flakieness, but it is the first beta release.
One thing I love about it, but some will not like so much, is that the core system comes with virtually NO modules. The admin chooses what to install from the get go.
Another nice thing is that the weclome e-mail templates are editable from with in the admin area.
The articles system is more flexible. The system will serve as not only news, but what PN calls sections, the FAQ, Web Links & even a photo gallery.
It's still not perfect, there's work to do, but looks pretty good so far. I'll have a CP Restore package available in a few days, want to wait until some of the bugs are out and a new beta package is released. |
